” I think one of the best decisions I’ve ever made would have to be would be leaving my hometown in search of just more in general. I grew up in a small coal mining town in Central Queensland, by the time everyone was in there late teens our small BMX scene started to slowly drop off which I think is the usual life happening in most places at that age. One night I was reading through one of my 2020 magazines (an Australian BMX magazine) I came across a small photo of someone just riding down the street and a caption that said “wing it” some small text below that that simply said sometime in life you just have to wing it. I still have a cut out of that article somewhere in my shed. That was the day I decided to leave my hometown and move to Brisbane to find a BMX community bigger  and more welcoming than I could ever imagined. I feel like that really kicked off my true love for BMX. Hitting the road for the unknown but chasing a feeling so well known within yourself. “

” I’ve made a lot of bad decisions in my time. All came with really good lessons in the end and I’m forever grateful of that. I have a lot of trust for people and I feel like I see that good in them without knowing them to well. A bit of a funny story over a shitty marketplace deal I experienced was once driving my old 1979 Toyota Landcruiser twenty two hours in the middle of our summer through the Australian outback to pick up from what I was told a really great running engine for my Landcruiser hahaha! To keep the story short I trusted the dude, did the trip there and back only to find the engine was a dud once installed. The trip itself was visually epic through the outback, the engine is still with me and I’ll get around to repairing it one day. As dishearten as I was once I worked out the engine wasn’t actually that healthy I wouldn’t have changed a thing about that trip. I needed at that time in my life. Bit of a laugh all in all haha! ” – Cody
